Sandy Hook Promise
PINKY PROMISE | 10 YEAR REMEMBRANCE
On December 14, 2012, twenty children and six educators were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. To commemorate the 10 year anniversary, we worked with Sandy Hook Promise to create a physical way people all across the country could get involved.
WHAT WE DID
Think back to when you were a kid. You and your friend are making a secret pact or an important vow. To cement this oath, you probably made a pinky promise, right?
So, for the 10 year anniversary of the Sandy Hook massacre, BBDO & Sandy Hook Promise invited Americans to take part in a nationwide pinky promise.
A pinky promise to learn the 10 signs of a potential school shooter, and to do all you can to end school shootings and protect children from gun violence.
Living primarily on socials, we had people snap a photo with pinkies interlocked, and share it using our hashtag: #SandyHookPromise, and the IG pinky promise sticker.
